Two killed in Russian drone strike on village in Kherson Oblast

Two men died after a Russian drone struck the village of Tekstylne in Kherson Oblast on the evening of 18 September, the same day a hospital in Kherson was also hit by a drone-dropped explosive.

Russian forces attacked the village of Tekstylne in Kherson Oblast at around 18:00 on 18 September, using an explosive-carrying drone, according to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Oblast Military Administration.

Two men sustained fatal injuries in the strike. Prokudin offered condolences to the victims' families and said relevant services are working to identify those killed.

Hospital also targeted

Earlier the same day, on the afternoon of 18 September, Russian forces dropped explosives from a drone onto the grounds of a hospital in the city of Kherson, damaging several service vehicles.

Kherson Oblast, located near Russian-controlled territory, continues to face frequent Russian drone and artillery attacks affecting both civilians and infrastructure.
