Russian drone strikes on Kherson kill one, injure another

Russian forces struck Kherson twice with drones on Tuesday morning, killing one man and injuring another. A day earlier, a drone strike had damaged an ambulance in the city.

Russian forces carried out two drone strikes on the Ukrainian city of Kherson on Tuesday morning, according to Yaroslav Shanko, head of the city's military administration.

Around 8:30 a.m., a drone struck a passenger car in the Dniprovskyi district. A man was killed in the attack; authorities are still working to establish his identity.

About two hours later, at approximately 10:10 a.m., a drone struck the city's central area. A 62-year-old man was injured, sustaining a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his left leg.

Recent context

The previous day, September 13, a Russian drone hit an ambulance in Kherson's Korabelnyi district, injuring two medical workers.

Kherson, located in southern Ukraine along the Dnipro River near the front line, has repeatedly come under Russian drone attacks affecting civilian infrastructure and vehicles.
