One killed as Russian strikes hit warehouses in Odesa region

On Tuesday, September 22, Russian occupation forces attacked warehouse buildings at several locations in Ukraine's Odesa region, triggering large-scale fires, Ukraine's State Emergency Service (DSNS) reported.

One person was killed in the attack and two others were injured. According to DSNS, Russian forces struck warehouse facilities at various addresses throughout the day, causing extensive fires.

Difficult rescue conditions

Rescuers operated under extremely difficult circumstances. Due to the threat of repeat strikes and continuous air raid alerts, firefighters were repeatedly forced to pause extinguishing efforts and take shelter.

Earlier on Tuesday afternoon, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, had already confirmed that Russia struck civilian infrastructure in the Odesa region, noting that the enemy attack had caused a large-scale fire at warehouse facilities.
