Russian strikes on Sumy kill two, number of wounded rises to 23
Two people were killed and 23 wounded, including four children, in a Russian guided bomb attack on the Ukrainian city of Sumy on September 26.
Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy regional military administration, reported that Russian forces struck Sumy with guided aerial bombs (KABs), wounding 23 people, four of them children. The strikes hit several locations across the Sumy community.
Casualties
A strike on a residential area killed two people. Three children were hospitalized — girls aged 14 and 8, along with an 11-month-old infant. Two adults were also hospitalized.
Earlier reports had said two people were killed and six wounded, including an 11-month-old child, in the same attack; the toll has since risen.
Damage
The strikes damaged dozens of apartment buildings and a private house, a cultural facility, two preschool institutions, administrative buildings, and more than 20 vehicles.
