Four children injured in Russian attack on Poltava
A Russian attack on Poltava on June 20 left four children wounded; all were taken to hospital.

On the evening of June 20, Russian forces launched an attack on the city of Poltava, injuring four children. Initially, Kateryna Yamshchykova, Secretary of the Poltava City Council, reported three wounded children, but later updated the number to four as another child was taken by ambulance to the city children's hospital. All injured children have been hospitalized.
According to the Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne, a series of at least three loud explosions were heard in Poltava around 20:10. At that time, an air-raid siren was active in the Poltava district. The Ukrainian Air Force twice warned of high-speed targets heading toward Poltava. Authorities are still assessing the aftermath of the strike.
