Two killed in Russian attacks on Kyiv region

Russian attacks on Kyiv region on Saturday, September 5, killed two people and damaged 28 sites across five districts. The fatalities occurred in Bucha district, while firefighters in Fastiv district worked to extinguish a fire caused by the strikes.

Two people were killed in Russian attacks on Ukraine's Kyiv region on Saturday, September 5, according to Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

He reported that the region again came under enemy attack, with the fatalities occurring in Bucha district.

Damage across five districts

As of 6 p.m., a total of 28 sites had been damaged across five districts of the region. The damaged objects include private houses and apartment buildings, warehouse facilities, railway infrastructure, the grounds of an agricultural enterprise, and several vehicles.

Fire in Fastiv district

In Fastiv district, State Emergency Service rescuers were working to extinguish a fire that broke out as a result of the attack. No reports of casualties from that district have been received so far.

Authorities continue to assess the full extent of the damage.
