Russian attacks leave over 350,000 subscribers without power in Dnipro and surrounding areas
After repeated Russian attacks on the Ukrainian city of Dnipro and nearby settlements, more than 350,000 electricity subscribers have lost power. Energy workers are restoring supply, while water pumping stations are being switched to backup generators.

More than 350,000 electricity subscribers have been left without power in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro and neighbouring settlements following Russian attacks. The information came from Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration. Dnipro is located in the Dnipropetrovsk region in central Ukraine, and strikes on its infrastructure disrupt everyday services for residents.
What the official said
Hanzha said the enemy had attacked Dnipro again during the day. According to his preliminary figures, over 350,000 subscribers in the city and surrounding settlements are without electricity.
He also said that energy workers are working to restore the power supply. Water supply and sewage pumping stations are being transferred to backup power from generators, so that these services can continue without mains electricity.
Earlier developments
Ukrainian energy company DTEK had previously reported that part of Dnipro and nearby districts lost power after Russian attacks damaged the main grid networks.
The sources do not yet say how long the repairs could take, or whether anyone was hurt in the attacks. The figure is preliminary and may change once energy workers establish the full extent of the damage.
