Russian Authorities Report Massive Ukrainian Drone Attack on Moscow and Region
Overnight, 81 drones were shot down over the Moscow region out of more than 350 heading towards the area. The attack killed three people and injured five.

Russian officials reported a massive Ukrainian drone attack targeting Moscow and the Moscow region. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin claimed that over 350 drones flew towards the capital overnight, with most intercepted far from the city and 50 destroyed in the immediate vicinity.
Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov said 81 drones were shot down over the region and confirmed casualties: three dead and five wounded. Ukraine has not commented on the attack.
Strikes also occurred in other regions. In the Vladimir region, a drone hit a residential building in the administrative center, prompting evacuations. In the Stavropol Krai, a fire broke out at an oil depot in the village of Vyazniki after a drone strike. Ukrainian Telegram channels reported at least two oil product tanks burning. Additionally, an enterprise in the Temryuk district of Krasnodar Krai caught fire.
A drone attack also sparked a fire at an oil product transshipment complex in the port of Kavkaz, which operates ferries across the Kerch Strait to occupied Crimea. Telegram channels reported flames in the port's reservoir park.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) attacked 15 vessels of Russia's "shadow fleet" off the coast of occupied Crimea overnight. USF commander Robert Brovdi stated that strikes hit seven tankers, five dry cargo ships, one ferry, and two tugs. From July 6 to 13, USF has targeted 105 Russian ships in total.
Furthermore, strikes were carried out on nine electrical substations in occupied Crimea and other territories. USF drones also destroyed an S-400 missile launcher, a Tor air defense system, and two radar units.
Russia's Defense Ministry claimed that 342 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight. It did not disclose how many reached their targets, but experts estimate 10-15% get through.
