Kulbergs admits: some goals in new government declaration won't be achieved in four months
Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs acknowledges that the government declaration contains targets that cannot be fulfilled within four months, and plans to agree on three key priorities with ministers.

In an interview on the program "Kāpēc", Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (AS) openly stated that some items in the new government's declaration will not be completed within the four-month timeframe. He explained that only ten days were allocated to draft the declaration, which is objectively too short to create a comprehensive and realistic document. To ensure tangible progress, Kulbergs intends to individually agree with each minister on three priority tasks that are measurable, aligned with the declaration, and achievable. These tasks will serve as the main criterion for evaluating performance. One of the most challenging issues, according to the Prime Minister, is the financial equalization mechanism, which in its current form penalizes municipalities that strive for growth and revenue generation. Kulbergs emphasized that this issue requires special attention and cannot be resolved quickly.
