Lacis' 'DeQing' loses in Masters quarterfinals
'DeQing' with Kārlis Lācis lost to 'Bonn' 13:16 in the quarterfinals, while 'Shibuya' earned a berth in the Lausanne Masters tournament.
In a 3x3 basketball Masters tournament, the 'DeQing' team featuring Kārlis Lācis fell to 'Bonn' 13:16 in the quarterfinals. Lācis scored just one point and missed all seven of his three-point attempts. 'DeQing' had won both of its group stage matches.
Meanwhile, Kārlis Lasmanis' 'Shanghai' (seeded 5th) lost both group games and did not advance to the knockout stage.
At a Challenger event in Singapore, 'Shibuya' (9th seed) reached the final. The Japanese team started from qualification and recorded six wins en route to the final. In the quarterfinals, they defeated 'Seef' of Brunei 21:14; in the semifinals, they beat 'Taipei' 22:17; and in the final, they lost to 'Antwerp' 21:14. Gludītis led with 14 points in the quarterfinals, Raimo had 11 in the semifinals, and in the final they scored seven and six points respectively. By finishing in the top three, 'Shibuya' secured a spot in the Lausanne Masters tournament scheduled for mid-August.
