Latvian 3x3 players help Shibuya reach Singapore Challenger quarterfinals
Zigmārs Raimo and Kristaps Gludītis helped the Japanese team 'Shibuya' advance to the quarterfinals of the Singapore Challenger 3x3 tournament.

On Saturday, June 10, the group stage of the 3x3 basketball Challenger tournament in Singapore concluded with Latvian players Zigmārs Raimo and Kristaps Gludītis, representing the Japanese club 'Shibuya', securing a spot in the quarterfinals.
'Shibuya', seeded ninth in the tournament, started from the qualification round. They first defeated the local team 'Lion City' 22-13, then beat Mongolia's 'Zavkhan' 21-15. In the group stage, the team won two decisive matches: 19-14 against 'London' (third seed) and 21-14 against the American team 'Princeton' (sixth seed).
Kristaps Gludītis scored eight points in each of the two qualification games, while in the group stage he contributed five and three points, respectively. Zigmārs Raimo made his biggest impact in the group stage, recording 7 points and 9 rebounds in the first game, and 3 points and 7 rebounds in the second.
The top three teams of the tournament will qualify for the Lausanne Masters event, scheduled for mid-August.
