The National Armed Forces (NBS) has provided information on drone incidents in Latvia since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

So far, seven drones have crashed in the country, and another unmanned aerial vehicle was neutralized by NATO fighters during the Baltic air policing mission. Each incident has been assessed and investigated by the competent authorities.

The NBS emphasizes that there is no basis to automatically assume that all drones involved in the incidents are Ukrainian. Their origin and affiliation are determined based on inspections by the responsible services.

At the same time, the responsible authorities indicate that these incidents in the region are closely linked to Russia's extensive use of electronic warfare systems in the context of the war against Ukraine. Detailed operational information, including specific routes and technical data, is not disclosed for security reasons.
