Latvian Defense Minister Raivis Melnis has arrived in Kyiv for his first official visit to Ukraine. During the visit, he met with Ukrainian officials to discuss further security cooperation.
The talks centered on the possibility of purchasing Ukrainian-made military systems for the Latvian armed forces. Additionally, the officials discussed plans to strengthen national defense against unmanned aerial vehicles, or drones.
This marks Melnis's first visit to Ukraine as defense minister, highlighting the close cooperation between the two countries on security and defense matters.
