Latvian basketball clubs search for identity: VEF Riga without medals, Ventspils director criticizes level

Meanwhile, Ralfs Pleinics, the general director of BK Ventspils, the vice-champion of Latvia, has been critical in his assessment of the current level of club basketball in the country. According to him, the standard is much lower than it was seven years ago, not to mention the more distant past. His comments raise concerns about the development of Latvian club basketball and its ability to compete on the international stage.
