Unidentified object in Latvian airspace was not a drone, armed forces say
An unidentified object spotted in Latvian airspace on Thursday was not an unmanned aircraft. The National Armed Forces told the news agency LETA.
An object that was spotted in Latvian airspace on Thursday, 22 October, and initially not identified was not a drone, or unmanned aerial vehicle. The National Armed Forces (NAF), which are responsible for the country's defence, told the news agency LETA.
The information from the NAF means the object was not confirmed to be an unmanned aircraft. The source does not say what exactly the object was, where in Latvia it was seen or how it was detected.
For now, the only publicly available information about the object is the statement that it was not a drone. If the NAF or other authorities provide more details, the picture may become clearer.
