Latvia names its flag bearers for the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar

Swimmer Vitalija Kuzina and wushu athlete Roberts Ritenbergs have been chosen as the flag bearers of the Latvian delegation at the Youth Olympic Games. The Latvian Olympic Committee, the body that represents Latvian sport within the international Olympic movement, announced the decision today, 22 October.
The Youth Olympic Games will begin at the end of October in Dakar, the capital of Senegal. Latvian athletes are currently preparing for the start of competition there.
Kuzina competes in swimming, while Ritenbergs represents wushu, an Asian martial arts discipline. The two will lead the Latvian team as its flag bearers.
