The Latvian National Museum of Nature has launched the 'Peonies 2026' exhibition, attracting both professional flower growers and admirers of these blooms from all over the country. Visitors can see a variety of peony cultivars, which growers say are particularly magnificent this year.

Although rain is often seen as a nuisance, this time it has been beneficial: the moist and cool weather created ideal conditions for peony development. As a result, the exhibition features impressive flowers collected from the regions of Kurzeme, Vidzeme, and Latgale. Each region boasts its finest specimens.

The exhibition offers not only aesthetic enjoyment but also insights into the specifics of peony cultivation and their role in Latvian gardening traditions. Museum visitors can explore the diverse shapes and colors that these flowers have to offer.
