The Latvian National Museum of Art (LNMM) is presenting two exhibitions and a special activity – yoga mornings – during the summer season.

Until August 16, visitors can see “Dreams of Various Lengths,” an exhibition dedicated to surrealist expressions in Latvian printmaking from the 1970s–1980s. The display reveals how artists used symbols, subconscious imagery, and visual metaphors to create alternative interpretations of reality. It highlights the work of eight graphic artists whose surrealism often blends with abstraction and philosophical reflections on the inner world.

Until August 2, the exhibition “Street Illusions: The City in the Observation of Latvian Modernists” continues, focusing on the depiction of urban environments in the works of Latvian modernists. It shows how 20th-century artists interpreted Riga and other cities as dynamic, emotional, and symbolic spaces.

In addition, the museum offers yoga mornings every Thursday at 9 a.m., before the museum opens to the public. Sessions are led by certified instructors, and no prior experience is required. After yoga, participants can explore the LNMM permanent exhibition. Advance registration is required.

The main building of LNMM is located at 1 Jaņa Rozentāla Square, Riga.
