A new exhibition on hybrid threats has opened at the Museum of the Occupation, coinciding with the 86th anniversary of the Soviet occupation on June 17, 1940.

The Museum of the Occupation of Latvia has opened a new exhibition titled “Hybrid War Against Latvia.” The exhibition focuses on contemporary security challenges and the hybrid warfare methods used against Latvia.
The opening coincides with the 86th anniversary of June 17, 1940, when Soviet troops entered and occupied Latvia. This date is commemorated in Latvia as a day of remembrance, with state flags lowered to half-mast and adorned with mourning ribbons.
Visitors to the museum can explore various forms of hybrid warfare, including disinformation campaigns, cyberattacks, and other non-traditional threats. The exhibition aims to raise public awareness about these modern challenges.
