Lenovo Legion Go S with SteamOS hits its lowest price ever
Lenovo is selling the SteamOS-powered Legion Go S with a Z2 Go processor for $635.54 using code EXTRASAVEAFF, which The Verge reports is the lowest price seen for the handheld.
The Steam Deck OLED recently got a price increase, but one of the closest alternatives in the SteamOS handheld space has just become noticeably cheaper. According to The Verge, Lenovo is currently offering the Legion Go S with SteamOS and a Z2 Go processor for just $635.54 at checkout when using the promo code EXTRASAVEAFF. That is a significant drop from its regular price of $1,137.41, and also well below the roughly $1,000 it typically sells for at Best Buy.
The handheld was released in 2024 in both Windows and SteamOS versions. In reviews, the SteamOS edition turned out to be the more appealing option, largely thanks to a better user experience, although Windows has shown signs of slowly catching up. The Z2 Go chip is not particularly impressive, with performance similar to the more expensive OLED Steam Deck, but it still handles indie games and even more demanding titles if you lower the graphics settings.
The Legion Go S also stands out with an 8-inch IPS display that supports up to 120Hz and variable refresh rate, making it a strong contender among other handhelds in the same price range. While memory and storage prices are expected to stay inflated for a while, this deal represents a rare opportunity to pick up capable gaming hardware at a very attractive price.
