Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2: New Tablet with Nine Speakers and Improved Kickstand
Lenovo announced the Tab Plus Gen 2 tablet featuring nine built-in speakers, a 22.7mm rear bump, and a 360-degree rotating kickstand. The device will be available in select markets starting at $399.99.

Lenovo has announced a new version of its Tab Plus tablet, the Tab Plus Gen 2, which continues to emphasize audio quality. Compared to the previous model with eight speakers and a 13.58mm rear bulge, the new version features nine speakers and a circular bump on the back that is 22.7mm thick.
The speaker bump now integrates a fold-out kickstand that rotates 360 degrees, allowing the tablet to be used in both portrait and landscape orientations. The company has not confirmed the exact launch timing or locations, but stated that it will be "available soon in select global markets." The original Tab Plus had a wide global release, including the US, at $289.99, while the new model starts at $399.99.
Specifications and Battery
The Tab Plus Gen 2 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 octa-core processor and comes in several configurations with 6GB to 12GB of RAM and 128GB to 256GB of storage, expandable via microSD up to 2TB. It features a 12.1-inch 120Hz 2.5K LCD display and a 10,200mAh battery, which Lenovo estimates can provide up to 15 hours of YouTube video playback.
Cameras and Software
The front camera remains 8 megapixels, while the rear camera is upgraded from 8 to 13 megapixels. The tablet ships with Android 16 out of the box, and Lenovo promises two years of Android OS updates and four years of security patches, ensuring support until 2030.
