Restoration of the Lestene Organ
At the Ugāle organ building workshop, craftsmen are engaged in a unique project: restoring the historic organ of Lestene Church. While the original organ prospect has been preserved, the pipes are being made to closely imitate the methods used in the 18th century.
The work is time-consuming, and the historical organ sound will not be heard for approximately eight years. This restoration is a significant effort to preserve Latvia's cultural heritage.
