Levadia secures comeback victory over Flora in Estonian Premium League top match

Tallinn's Levadia beat city rivals Flora 3-1 in the 15th round of the Estonian football championship, maintaining their unbeaten record and strengthening their lead at the top of the table.

Tallinn's Levadia secured a come-from-behind 3-1 victory over city rivals Flora on Saturday in the central match of the 15th round of the Estonian Premium League. The game was played at the shared home ground of A. Le Coq Arena in front of 1,468 spectators under light rain and temperatures around +12°C.

Flora started strongly and took the lead in the 6th minute through Rauno Sappinen. However, Levadia quickly turned the tide: Maximilian Skvortsov calmly converted a penalty in the 22nd minute to level the score.

In the second half, the visitors dominated completely. Brazilian Wendell put Levadia ahead in the 54th minute, and Mihkel Ainsalu sealed the win with a goal in stoppage time, making it 3-1.

Standings impact

With this victory, Levadia, still undefeated in the current championship, strengthened their position at the top of the table with 39 points from 15 matches. Flora remain third with 27 points.

Elsewhere in the 15th round, Kuressaare beat Harju from Laagri 3-2 away, Narva Trans lost at home to Nõmme United 1-2, and Tartu Tammeka played out a goalless draw at home with Pärnu Vaprus. On Sunday, the final match of the round will feature Nõmme Kalju against Paide.
