The Liepāja Municipal Administration plans to invest €5.36 million in street infrastructure improvements this year. Construction will cover 9.24 km and is funded by state, municipal, and European Union sources. The project aims to enhance traffic comfort, safety, and property access.

For road maintenance and development, the city will receive a state grant of €2,874,079, while the municipal budget allocates €2,486,703. This amount does not include EU co-financing for the reconstruction of O. Kalpaka and Raiņa streets.

Key projects include several street reconstructions. O. Kalpaka Street from Raiņa to Brīvostas Street, along with sections of Ostas, Flotes, Sliežu, and Siļķu streets (2 km), will be rebuilt with EU and municipal funding, with completion by 2028. Raiņa Street from Rīgas to Baseina Street (0.85 km) will be finished this year, involving roadway, sidewalk, lighting, and utility upgrades. Brīvības Street's surface reconstruction will occur in two sections totaling 5.2 km, starting this summer and ending in 2027. Debess Street from Klaipēdas to Vētru Street (0.22 km) began in March and should be completed by year-end.

Under the gravel street program, three streets are being upgraded. Pīļu Street from Kungu to Tebras Street (0.4 km) was finished in June, with asphalt and new road signs. Tvaiku Street from Krūmu to Mežu Street (0.25 km) and Pulkveža Brieža Street from Virsaišu to Studentu rotas Street (0.32 km) started in May and are scheduled for completion by autumn.

Bus stops will also be improved. A new stop will be built at Krūmu Street 51, and at Dzērves Street, pedestrian crossing lighting will be upgraded and the stop rebuilt. Both projects will be completed this summer.

To help residents track roadworks, a digital map has been created, showing closed sections, detours, and deadlines. It is available on the city's website by searching "Digital Map of Traffic Organisation Changes".
