Another meeting between the Daugavpils Lokomotīve and Landshut Devils speedway teams in the Polish National League fell victim to rain. After 10 completed heats, the match was stopped due to heavy rain, and since more than half of the planned 15 heats had been run, the result was declared – a 36:24 victory for the Landshut Devils.

Earlier, the originally scheduled match in Daugavpils had been postponed to July 5 due to weather. This time, Lokomotīve traveled to Landshut without their leader Daniils Kolodinskis, and junior Emīls Rimicāns' participation was initially uncertain after a crash in the European U19 Championship semifinal, but he eventually took part.

The hosts secured a 12-point lead thanks to a 5:1 junior win and two 5:1 wins from their spearhead pair Kim Nilsson and Leon Flint. The remaining heats saw draws 3:3 or narrow 4:2 wins for one side. For Lokomotīve, the top scorer was Dāvids Bellego with 7 points, followed by Oļegs Mihailovs (6), Jevgeņijs Kostigovs (5), and Esbens Jerilds (4). Drew Kemp and Damirs Fiļimonovs each scored 1 point, with Kemp crashing in one heat.

Despite the 12-point loss, Lokomotīve has a chance to earn a bonus point in the home match on July 5 if they win by at least 13 points. Also in July, Daugavpils will host Opole and Świętochłowice – all matches require wins, and a bonus point must be taken from Świętochłowice. Lokomotīve is only two points away from 4th place (the semifinals), making every match crucial.
