Lithuania to Build Ukrainian Drones Under New Defense Agreement
Ukraine and Lithuania have agreed to produce Ukrainian-designed drones on Lithuanian soil, utilising technology transfer to expand manufacturing capacity and bolster Europe's defence sector.
Under a bilateral defence pact, Lithuania will begin manufacturing drones designed by Ukrainian engineers, according to a report from Euromaidan Press. The initiative relies on the transfer of technology from Ukraine to Lithuania, allowing the drones to be assembled locally.
This arrangement is expected to increase Ukraine's production capacity beyond its own borders. By moving part of the manufacturing process to a NATO member state, Ukraine can continue to develop its drone fleet while benefiting from a more secure and stable production environment.
