Prime Minister-designate Mindaugas Sinkevičius on Friday submitted his proposed cabinet to President Gitanas Nausėda, pledging a decisive government. The lineup includes current Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys, despite earlier uncertainties.

Lithuanian Prime Minister-designate Mindaugas Sinkevičius on Friday submitted his proposed cabinet to President Gitanas Nausėda for approval. Sinkevičius stated he believes he has assembled exactly the kind of team ready to act decisively, energetically, and with clear direction. The cabinet includes several ministers from the previous government led by Inga Ruginienė, with Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys retaining his post despite earlier doubts about his future.
Among the nominations, Taurimas Valys has been proposed as finance minister and Martynas Katelynas as interior minister. Former Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė is set to return as minister of social security and labour, while Ieva Andriulaitytė was nominated for environment minister. Additionally, candidates from the Democratic Union "For Lithuania" were included: Linas Kukuraitis for health minister, Kęstutis Mažeika for agriculture minister, and Lukas Savickas for energy minister.
Under Lithuania’s Constitution, the president appoints ministers on the recommendation of the prime minister. The new cabinet can begin work only after receiving presidential approval and taking the oath of office.
