Liverpool secure signing of England goalkeeper Keating
Liverpool have signed England international goalkeeper Khiara Keating. The 20-year-old is the club's fourth addition of the summer transfer window.

Liverpool have announced the signing of England goalkeeper Khiara Keating from Manchester City. Keating, who made her England debut at the Etihad Stadium in October 2025, becomes Liverpool's fourth summer signing.
Last season, Keating competed with Japan's Ayaka Yamashita for the number one spot at Manchester City, making only four WSL starts as the club won the Women's FA Cup. Despite limited game time, she remains highly regarded as one of England's top young goalkeepers.
She was called up by England manager Sarina Wiegman for June's crucial Women's World Cup qualifiers against Spain and Ukraine but missed out due to concussion. Keating was part of the victorious Euro 2025 squad and will aim to secure a regular spot ahead of next year's Women's World Cup in Brazil.
Liverpool manager Matt Taylor handed Keating her WSL debut and oversaw her breakout 2023-24 campaign. That season, at age 19, she became the youngest goalkeeper to win the WSL Golden Glove award, keeping nine clean sheets.
Keating, who had short loan spells at AFC Fylde and Coventry United, also has Women's Champions League experience. "The start of my career has been nothing but amazing," she said. "I needed that missing piece of the puzzle. I think Liverpool can be that - somewhere I'm playing week-in, week-out and getting good game time."
Liverpool were in the market for a goalkeeper after Jennifer Falk's successful loan spell ended in May and hopes for a permanent deal fell through.
