Lomažs and Šiliņš help team win bronze in Lithuanian basketball championship
Latvian basketball players Rihards Lomažs and Mārtiņš Šiliņš delivered strong performances to help their team secure bronze medals in Lithuania.

In the Lithuanian basketball championship, a team featuring two Latvians – Rihards Lomažs and Mārtiņš Šiliņš – has clinched the bronze medals. In the decisive game, Lomažs was the top scorer with 22 points, making four of seven two-point shots, two of seven three-pointers, and all eight free throws. He played 33 minutes and 14 seconds, grabbed six rebounds, dished out five assists, recorded one steal, and committed four turnovers. Lomažs also committed three fouls and drew six fouls, finishing with a plus/minus of +12 and an efficiency rating of 25.
Šiliņš, in 22 minutes and 43 seconds, scored nine points by making nine of ten free throws, while missing his only two-point and three-point attempts. He collected four rebounds, handed out four assists, blocked one shot, had one turnover, and committed two fouls. He drew five fouls and registered a plus/minus of +4 and an efficiency rating of 17.
For the opposing team, Paulius Danusevičius and Kristian Kullamäe each scored 22 points. The Lithuanian championship title went to Kaunas "Žalgiris", who swept the final series 3-0 against Utena "Juventus".
