More than 200 employees of Latvian Public Broadcasting (LSM) have appealed to the board to retain the historical brands "Latvijas Televīzija" (LTV) and "Latvijas Radio" (LR) in public spaces and physical environments – on buildings, microphones, and elsewhere.

The employees emphasize that these brands are crucial for public recognition and trust. Meanwhile, the LSM board states that the new media brand will not replace the legacy of LTV and LR, but will serve as proof that LSM is a single organization with a shared mission. The board explains that the goal is to strengthen the common identity, not to eliminate the historical names.
