In an interview with Al-Arabiya TV channel, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko expressed regret for his previous statements and apologized to Volodymyr Zelensky. He explained that his sharp response was a reaction to Zelensky's baseless claims about 500 targets in Belarus.

Lukashenko noted that Zelensky is under great pressure, young, inexperienced, and not a military person, so his statements might be ill-considered. The Belarusian leader added that he remained silent for a long time but was forced to respond after threatening remarks.

He emphasized that no military action should be expected from Belarus and called on Zelensky to be more careful, calm down, and refrain from provoking Belarusians. These comments follow earlier threats from Commander Brody ("Madar") about 500 targets in Belarus, to which Lukashenko responded by threatening one serious target in Ukraine.

Previously, Zelensky stated that Russia continues efforts to drag Belarus into war, possibly with the aim of conducting an operation against a NATO country.
