Macron discusses idea of energy truce between Ukraine and Russia with Trump

Macron said he and Trump spoke at length about the Ukraine-Russia issue, stressing the need to help Ukraine faster and more powerfully with interceptor missiles, calling it a key defense matter. He did not go into detail on the energy truce idea but added that he intends to raise the topic during his upcoming meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The French leader emphasized that supporting and protecting Ukraine's energy system remains a key priority, as the war continues to undermine stability and security across Europe.
