Marvel unveils new X-Men movie cast, including Adam Driver as villain
At the D23 event in Anaheim, Marvel officially revealed the cast for its untitled X-Men film, set to hit theaters on May 5th, 2028. The movie brings the mutants into the MCU following their introduction in the latest Spider-Man film.
Marvel used yesterday's D23 event in Anaheim to finally reveal the full cast of its upcoming, untitled X-Men movie. The film is currently scheduled for a May 5th, 2028 theatrical release, though given how far off that date is, a shift wouldn't be surprising.
The announcement follows on the heels of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which revealed that Sadie Sink would play Jean Grey. That film marked the first time Marvel's mutants were formally woven into the MCU, after years of hints and anticipation surrounding their arrival.
The cast
Joining Sink in the film are Kit Connor as Scott Summers, better known as Cyclops, Christopher Abbott as Charles Xavier, or Professor X, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Maya Boyd as Storm, and Inde Navarrette as Rogue.
Navarrette recently drew attention for her role in Obsession, a film that became an unexpected hit with both critics and audiences, and this new role could further raise her profile.
The team's mutant heroes will face off against Nathaniel Milbury, also known as Mister Sinister, portrayed by Adam Driver.
The X-Men's entry into the MCU has been anticipated and teased for years, but it wasn't until the most recent Spider-Man film that the mutants were officially brought into the shared universe's storyline.
