Massage Roller Against Cellulite: What a Dermatologist Says
An electric massage roller that promises to reduce cellulite and smooth the skin has become popular on social media in Latvia. A dermatologist says no single method can eliminate cellulite completely and permanently.

An electric massage roller marketed as a way to reduce cellulite and smooth the skin of the legs has become widely popular on social media in Latvia. The device costs almost 50 euros, and, according to the portal Delfi, interest has been so high that it has already sold out. Influencers praise it, and more and more women are trying it. The question is whether it really works and whether using it is safe.
A user's experience
A woman named Paula told the portal that she has struggled with cellulite for several years. She eats healthily, exercises and has tried beauty treatments, including endosphere therapy. At home she has also used vacuum cups and dry brushing, without a notable result. She bought the roller because a trip is approaching and she wants smoother legs. Paula has used the device for about a week, so she says it is too early to judge the results. In the first days clear bruises appeared, and she is unsure whether the device should be used daily, whether it is better before or after a workout, or in the morning or evening.
What the specialist says
Dermatologist Karīna Zavorina explains that there is no single magic method that would eliminate cellulite completely and forever. Many minimally invasive and non-invasive methods have been described for improving the look of the skin: supplements, massages, massage rollers and device-based procedures. Their effectiveness varies, and results are not always predictable.
