Mercedes-AMG bids farewell to A 45 S with ‘Final Edition’ hot hatch
Mercedes-AMG has introduced the A 45 S 4Matic+ ‘Final Edition’, a special send-off version priced from €73,929 in Germany. It keeps the 421-hp 2.0-litre turbo engine while adding exclusive design and interior details.

Mercedes-AMG is bringing the production of its compact hot hatch to a close with a dedicated ‘Final Edition’ variant of the A 45 S 4Matic+. The special model marks the end of the road for the performance hatchback before production stops.
Under the skin, the car remains unchanged. It is powered by the 2.0-litre four-cylinder M139 turbo engine producing 421 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, which the company calls the most powerful series-produced four-cylinder engine in the world. The powertrain enables a 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 270 km/h. Power is routed through an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox and the AMG Performance 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system.
The ‘Final Edition’ stands out thanks to its visual treatment. It is offered in two body colours, paired with forged 19-inch wheels, black brake calipers and yellow accents. Inside, buyers get AMG Performance seats, contrast stitching and special ‘45 S’ details that underline the model’s farewell character.
In Germany, the ‘Final Edition’ starts at €73,929. With this version, Mercedes-AMG honours a model that has become a benchmark in its segment by combining a compact body with an exceptionally powerful engine.
