Meta launches a Muse AI agent version for small businesses
Meta is rolling out a small-business version of its Muse AI agent that connects to professional social media accounts and numerous third-party tools. It arrives weeks after the consumer version debuted.
Meta has begun rolling out a version of its Muse AI agent tailored specifically for small business owners, just weeks after introducing the consumer-facing edition. The new tool can connect to a business's professional accounts on Facebook and Instagram, including advertising accounts and analytics data.
Muse for Small Business is designed for companies that already rely on Meta's other professional tools. The agent can access analytics tied to business and creator accounts, allowing it to provide insights and handle tasks related to a company's social media presence, such as ad campaigns.
Third-party integrations
Meta has expanded Muse's capabilities by adding support for a range of third-party services, including Asana, Box, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, Granola, HighLevel, Intuit QuickBooks, Klaviyo, Lovable, Notion, Shopify, Slack, Stripe and Zoom. Business owners who connect these accounts allow the agent to tackle bigger goals using data from those apps.
Meta has suggested sample prompts for the tool, such as asking it to review the business's financial performance for the month and flag unusual expenses, summarize what needs attention across email, calendar and news, or build a growth plan based on the year's sales, campaigns and social media data.
As with the consumer version, Meta acknowledges that Muse could behave unpredictably or misinterpret instructions, though it says the agent was built with layers of privacy and security protections.
The announcement comes one day after Meta unveiled a new enterprise business unit aimed at selling its AI services to large companies. Muse for Small Business will reportedly remain free for most everyday use, though heavier usage may require a subscription.
