Morgan Backs Lake's Wales Captaincy Credentials
Jac Morgan has returned to the Wales rugby team after a shoulder injury, playing in an uncapped win over the Barbarians. He took over the captaincy at half-time and praised the team's progress under coach Steve Tandy.

Wales flanker Jac Morgan has made his return to the field after missing eight Tests due to a shoulder injury sustained at the Principality Stadium during Steve Tandy's first match in charge. The Gloucester-bound player featured in a 33-31 victory against the Barbarians at Twickenham's Allianz Stadium, an uncapped warm-up game ahead of the Nations Championship.
During the match, Morgan assumed the captaincy at half-time when Dewi Lake was substituted. "I love being back," said Morgan. "It's always an honour to be able to put the jersey on and I was chuffed to be back in the field with the boys." He described the game as tough but was pleased with the win.
Morgan noted improvements under Tandy's coaching. "It's been great to be able to watch because you can see how Steve and the coaches want to implement the game," he said. "You can see during the Six Nations we're getting better every game. You could see the identity we were trying to bring through." He added that while he always wants to be on the pitch, it was great to watch the team perform well.
The Nations Championship kicks off for Wales next Saturday against Fiji at Cardiff City Stadium, followed by away fixtures against Argentina and South Africa.
