Museums increasingly offer activities for infants too
Museums in Latvia and worldwide are beginning to offer sessions for their youngest visitors — the National Library of Literature and Music Museum already runs activities for children from six months of age.

Museum programming is steadily expanding to include visitors rarely associated with cultural institutions — infants. This practice has been gaining popularity in various countries recently, and it has now made its way to Latvia as well.
Sessions starting from six months old
The National Museum of Literature and Music is currently organizing sessions designed for the youngest visitors — children starting from as young as six months old. This means the museum experience is being adapted for families with infants, allowing parents to introduce their child to a cultural environment from an early age.
This approach reflects a broader trend in the museum sector — seeking new ways to attract audiences of different ages and make cultural institutions more accessible to the whole family, not just school-age children or adults.
