Next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event set for July 22

Samsung has confirmed that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 22 in London. The company says it will showcase its latest Galaxy innovations, building on its leadership in foldables.

While official details are scarce, rumors and leaks suggest two to three new phones alongside potential updates to the Galaxy Watch line. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is almost certain to appear, featuring a refined hinge, improved performance, and a lighter chassis. However, major redesigns are unlikely due to a global RAM shortage making upgrades costly in 2026.

More exciting is the possibility of two Galaxy Z Fold 8 models. The base model is rumored to have a wider main display for better movie viewing, but may only include two rear cameras to keep costs down, compared to three on the Z Fold 7. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra could be the new top-tier model with display tech reducing the crease, an updated processor, three rear cameras, and possibly faster charging.

Samsung has posted cryptic teasers on social media about a phone with a wider design, indicating big changes for the Z Fold family. Other possible announcements include the Galaxy Watch 9, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, or Samsung's Android XR glasses, though these might be fully unveiled later in the fall.

For those eager to reserve devices, Samsung is offering a $30 credit for pre-orders before the event. The presentation will be live-streamed on Samsung.com and YouTube at 9 AM ET/6 AM PT on July 22.
