Rain and Fog Expected Overnight, Sunday to Be Cool and Cloudy
Latvia will experience short-term rain, localized thunderstorms and fog overnight into Sunday, while Sunday itself will be cool, cloudy and rainy at times.
According to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre, many parts of Latvia can expect short-term rain and possible thunderstorms overnight into Sunday. The sky will be mostly cloudy, though it may clear at times. With light winds, fog will form in some areas, reducing visibility. Nighttime temperatures will drop to +7…+12 degrees Celsius.
On Sunday, rain will fall intermittently across most of the country, and thunderstorms cannot be ruled out in some places. Winds will remain light, and the sky will be overcast. Maximum daytime temperatures will stay between +12…+17 degrees.
In Riga, the night will be mostly cloudy with rain at times. Light winds and temperatures of +11…+12 degrees are expected. Sunday in the capital will be relatively cool and overcast, with occasional rain and a possibility of thunderstorms. The maximum temperature in Riga on Sunday will reach +15…+16 degrees.
