Narva picks contractor to install two Christmas trees
The city of Narva in Estonia has chosen the company Tetaro Grupp to install two city Christmas trees in a tender. Its bid is 24,502 euros including turnover tax.

Narva, a city in eastern Estonia, has selected the company Tetaro Grupp to install its two main Christmas trees this year. The firm offered to do the work for 24,502 euros including turnover tax, and the city is also ready to consider suggestions from residents about suitable trees.
Anastasia Potapova, a senior landscaping specialist in the communal services and construction division of Narva's Urban Economy Department, told the portal Rus.ERR on Monday that three companies took part in the tender. All bids met the requirements, and the winner was chosen on the basis of the lowest price.
Trees not yet chosen
Specific trees have not been found yet. The contractor must send the city photos of three spruce options for Peter's Square and another three for Town Hall Square. City representatives will then inspect the trees on site and pick suitable ones, which is planned for early November.
According to Potapova, the city is also open to ideas from residents. If people in Narva know of a suitable spruce whose owner is willing to give it up for festive decoration, they can tell the city. "We will be only glad if someone has a suitable tree growing on their plot that for some reason is already in the way," Potapova said.
Deadlines and costs
The tree on Peter's Square should be 8–10 metres tall, and the one on Town Hall Square 7–8 metres. Installation is planned for 20 and 23 November respectively. Dismantling is scheduled for 18–20 January 2027.
Tetaro Grupp's bid is 19,760 euros without turnover tax, or 24,502.40 euros with tax. The initially estimated value of the procurement was 28,800 euros including tax. The company has carried out such work for Narva before.
