Narva's Paju School Seeks Director Again; Previous Competition Yielded No Result
The Narva city government has launched a new open competition for the position of director of Paju School, as the spring recruitment process ended with all four candidates deemed unsuitable.

The Narva city administration has renewed its efforts to find a permanent principal for Paju School by announcing a new open competition. The previous selection process, held in spring, failed to produce a result despite multiple applicants.
Last competition for the same position was announced in April, with the application deadline on May 15. According to the Narva City Government's Culture Department, four candidates applied. The commission decided that none of them met the requirements, so the competition ended without success.
Now, a new vacancy announcement has appeared on Narva's official website, with applications accepted until July 3.
Earlier, ERR reported on the city's plans to merge Paju School and School No. 6. However, the merger could not be completed before the new school year due to political disagreements in the city council.
The last official principal, Olesya Ojamäe, resigned voluntarily in August 2024. Since then, the school has been run by temporary acting directors.
