Celtics rout 76ers in NBA preseason as Kings lose center Rayne to knee injury
In NBA preseason games, the Boston Celtics beat the Philadelphia 76ers 144-106. The Sacramento Kings lost to the Golden State Warriors and will likely be without French center Maxime Raynaud for a long time.

Several preseason games were played on 11 October in the NBA, the North American professional basketball league, as teams prepare for the new season. The highest-scoring result was the Boston Celtics' 144-106 win over the Philadelphia 76ers. Preseason games do not count in the official standings, but let teams test their lineups.
Boston and other games
Boston's Payton Pritchard hit five of the team's eight three-pointers and scored 25 points. Jayson Tatum added 23, Hugo Gonzalez 17, Derrick White 15, and Paul George 12 points with five steals. For Philadelphia, VJ Edgecombe scored 19. LeBron James did not play in the game.
The Los Angeles Clippers lost 114-106 to the Toronto Raptors in Canada. Japanese players Rui Hachimura and Yuki Kawamura scored 14 and 10 points for Los Angeles, while Toronto's top scorer was RJ Barrett with 20.
The Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Miami Heat 125-124. Antonio Reeves made the game-winning shot and finished with five points. Bones Hyland led the winners with 23 points. For Miami, Ryan Kolwell scored 22 points and had nine assists.
Injury to Kings center
The Sacramento Kings fell 111-106 to the Golden State Warriors and also received bad news: French center Maxime Raynaud suffered a knee injury and will most likely be out for a very long time. Sacramento's best scorer was Darius Eikuds with 25 points, and Ben Simons scored seven. For Golden State, first-round draft pick Jaksel Landenborg had 23 points, ten rebounds and six assists.
The Phoenix Suns defeated the San Antonio Spurs 102-98, with Luke Kennard scoring 20 for the winners. For San Antonio, Dylan Harper had 15 points, while Stephon Castle and Victor Wembanyama each added 13.
In other preseason games, the Washington Wizards beat the Detroit Pistons 114-108, and the Atlanta Hawks won 119-117 over the Indiana Pacers.
