Latvia's Week to Start with Rain and Gusty Wind Before Calmer Weather
The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre forecasts rain across nearly the whole country on Monday, with gusty winds. Later in the week conditions should be calmer, with temperatures little changed.

The new week in Latvia will begin with rain and strong wind, according to the forecast of the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre. On Monday a precipitation zone will cross the country from the west, so rain is expected almost everywhere. Conditions are set to become calmer later in the week.
Monday
Clouds will cover the sky, with the sun showing only in places. A moderate to fairly strong south and southwest wind will blow, with gusts reaching 15–19 m/s: at night in western and central districts, and during the day mainly along the sea coast.
Night temperatures will fall to +6…+11 degrees, while the daytime maximum will be within +9…+12 degrees.
Tuesday and Wednesday
Cloud cover will vary. More clouds are expected in the west of the country, where rain is forecast for Tuesday night and morning. Wednesday will pass without precipitation. Fog will form in places at night and in the morning, reducing visibility.
A light to moderate south and southeast wind will blow, remaining gusty in coastal areas on Tuesday. On Tuesday night temperatures in most of the country will drop to +3…+7 degrees, while the coast will be warmer at +7…+11. The night heading into Wednesday will be about a degree colder still. In daylight hours the air will warm to no more than +9…+13 degrees.
Rest of the week
Weather should remain generally calm, with sunshine alternating with clouds and a light to moderate southerly wind. Rain is expected at some point in almost all regions. Night and daytime temperatures will not change significantly and will stay within ranges similar to the previous days.
