Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Sunday that he rejects the US-backed peace agreement proposed for the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu stated that Israeli forces will not pull back from Gaza until the Hamas militant group has been fully and genuinely disarmed. He indicated that no withdrawal is planned until this condition is met.

With this statement, the Israeli prime minister has effectively rebuffed US efforts to secure a ceasefire or end the conflict in the region, emphasizing that security guarantees take priority over a swift resolution.
