Three Latvian hockey players have signed new contracts in the National Hockey League (NHL): Sandis Vilmanis extended with Florida, Teodors Blugers joined Toronto, and Eduards Tralmaks signed with Edmonton.

The National Hockey League (NHL) continues to see Latvian players making moves. The Florida Panthers officially announced a two-year contract extension with forward Sandis Vilmanis. The new deal will take effect for the 2027/2028 season. This year, Vilmanis represented the Latvian national team at the Milan Olympics and the Zurich World Championship.
Another Latvian forward, Teodors Blugers, remains in Canada. As an unrestricted free agent, he signed a two-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs. This strengthens his position in the league after previous seasons.
Meanwhile, Eduards Tralmaks has been signed by the Edmonton Oilers. The club inked a deal with the Latvian forward, who previously played for other NHL teams. These contracts highlight the growing presence of Latvian players in the world's top hockey league.
