Dobele Energy to raise heat tariff slightly from September

SIA Dobele Energy has announced that its heat energy supply tariff will increase by 0.5% to EUR 86.01 per megawatt-hour (MWh) from September 1, 2026. The company's published information shows the new rate has been approved by the Public Utilities Commission (SPRK) as compliant with the regulatory methodology.

Several components make up the new tariff. The heat generation tariff will be EUR 63.59 per MWh, up 0.6%, while the transmission and distribution tariff will rise by 0.2% to EUR 18.82 per MWh. The supply tariff will remain unchanged at EUR 3.41 per MWh, and the excise tax component will stay at EUR 0.54 per MWh. A component for unforeseen revenue of EUR 0.35 per MWh is also included.

The current tariff stands at EUR 81.72 per MWh. It will increase to EUR 85.59 per MWh on August 1, 2026, and then to EUR 86.01 per MWh on September 1, 2026. The company attributes the changes to fluctuations in fuel prices, specifically natural gas and pellets.

According to Firmas.lv, Dobele Energy reported a turnover of EUR 3.037 million and a loss of EUR 154,721 in 2025. The company was founded in 1992 and has share capital of EUR 3.234 million. It is wholly owned by Dobele Municipality.
