Massive fire in southern Norway
A massive fire has broken out in the village of Krokstadelva in Drammen municipality, southern Norway, destroying dozens of homes. The flames, located approximately 50 kilometers west of Oslo, have not yet been extinguished.
Firefighters report that around 80 personnel are battling the blaze, supported by six helicopters. The fire is spreading southward towards forest areas, raising concerns that it could escalate into a large wildfire.
No missing persons have been reported so far. One local resident who inhaled smoke has received medical attention, while one firefighter sustained minor injuries. The origin and cause of the fire remain unknown at this time.
