Nothing cancels this year's CMF phone due to RAM prices
Nothing co-founder announced that the successor to the CMF Phone 2 Pro won't launch this year because memory prices prevent building a phone at a reasonable price.

Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis announced on X that the company has canceled plans for a follow-up to the CMF Phone 2 Pro this year. The reason: high memory prices make it impossible to build a phone that feels like a genuine step forward at a price that makes sense for the CMF brand.
Evangelidis stated that while they were working on a successor, current memory market conditions forced the cancellation. He added that CMF still has several new products launching, including entirely new categories, and hinted that Nothing's smartphone launch season isn't over yet.
Nothing CEO and co-founder Carl Pei previously revealed that RAM prices have significantly impacted other company phones. He said that for the Phone 4A, memory costs doubled between the decision to build the device and its launch, and then doubled again. Pei emphasized that memory is now the most expensive component in a smartphone.
Nothing is not alone in facing this challenge. Earlier this week, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced price increases, stating that the situation has become unsustainable.
