Notion Mail shuts down; company pivots to agentic AI for email
Notion Mail will be shut down on September 22, 2026. The company is refocusing on AI agents to manage email workflows.

Notion has announced the shutdown of its email client, Notion Mail. The service will cease to operate on web, mobile, and desktop platforms on September 22. The company has published an FAQ to guide users through the transition. While most emails will remain in Gmail, users must manually export drafts, scheduled emails, snippets, and auto label instructions. Notion Mail launched after Notion acquired startup Skiff in 2024. The company is shifting its strategy towards agentic AI. In a post on X, Notion stated that over half of Notion Mail users already manage emails without opening their inbox, leading the company to fully embrace agents.
